About Image Cropper
Visual or precise cropping
Dragging creates a new rectangular selection. For precise work or keyboard use, enter the crop's left and top offsets and its width and height. Coordinates are measured from the upper-left corner of the decoded image. The crop must remain inside the source image.
Presets that make a starting selection
Square 1:1, landscape 4:3, wide 16:9 and portrait 3:4 create centered selections that fit within your image. They are starting points, not locked ratios: dragging or editing individual coordinates makes a free crop. Whole image resets the selection.
Cropping and resizing solve different problems
Cropping removes the surrounding area. It does not stretch the remaining picture or invent detail. The output pixel dimensions match the selected crop. Use Image Resizer when you need to change dimensions without removing content, or Image to Target Size when the destination has a byte limit.
Transparency, compression and privacy
PNG keeps existing transparency and avoids JPG compression; it can be larger than the source. JPG fills transparent areas with white. WebP supports transparency and uses lossy compression here. All processing stays on your device. Exports are still images without the original metadata, so keep the source for future edits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I crop without uploading my image?
Yes. Selection, preview and image export all happen locally in your browser. The image is not uploaded to a conversion server.
Can I enter exact crop dimensions?
Yes. Enter Left and Top offsets plus Width and Height in pixels. A successful export has the selected width and height. Out-of-bounds or empty selections produce a message so you can correct them.
Does it keep a transparent background?
Choose PNG or WebP to preserve transparency already present in the source. JPG makes transparent pixels white. This tool does not remove an existing background.
Can I crop an animated image?
This tool works with still images. An animated WebP produces a still result; its animation is not preserved. GIF is not an accepted input.
