When an upload form rejects your iPhone photo
Check the form’s accepted formats first. If it accepts JPG or JPEG but rejects HEIC, convert the photo here and upload the downloaded .jpg file. Renaming .heic to .jpg does not convert the image. If the form also has a file-size limit, check the downloaded size separately.
What changes in the JPG
JPG is a lossy format: the image is re-encoded, so it is not an archival copy of your original. Keep your HEIC file if you may edit it later. Output size depends on the photo and can be larger than the HEIC. This tool exports a still image; it does not preserve the motion part of a Live Photo.
Metadata and photo batches
Do not rely on this conversion to preserve EXIF, GPS, capture dates, HDR information, or depth data. The browser path creates a new image from the decoded pixels rather than copying the original metadata. Choose Multiple files to convert up to 20 HEIC or HEIF photos and download a ZIP. Each photo is processed separately so a failed photo does not discard successful results.
Where your photo is processed
One file mode first tries your browser and may fall back to server processing; the result indicates local processing. Multiple files mode runs entirely on your device and reports files it cannot convert instead of uploading them.

Are JPG and JPEG different formats?
No. JPG and JPEG are two filename extensions for the same image format. This tool downloads a .jpg file.
Will the JPG keep my photo’s GPS location and date?
Metadata preservation is not guaranteed. The browser conversion does not copy the original EXIF block. Keep the original HEIC for your photo archive.
Can I convert a whole folder at once?
Yes. Choose Multiple files, then select up to 20 images from your folder. Each must be 20 MB or smaller and no more than 25 megapixels, with 100 MB total input. Convert and prepare a ZIP of the successful results. Folder selection itself is not supported.
Why does my converted photo still fail to upload?
A form may reject an otherwise valid JPG because it is too large or has the wrong dimensions. Check its separate file-size and pixel-dimension requirements. A corrupt or unsupported HEIC file may also fail to decode.
Can I download converted JPG images together?
Yes. In Multiple files mode, convert your selected images, choose Prepare ZIP, then Download ZIP. Only successful conversions are included. Images keep separate filenames; duplicates receive a numbered suffix inside the ZIP. You can also download each image individually.
