Your age in years, months, and days is computed the way people actually reckon it: whole years since your birthday, then whole months since the last month-anniversary, then leftover days — borrowing from the calendar when needed, so someone born January 31 is handled correctly in short months. Total days lived is a separate straight count of calendar days, which is why it accounts for leap years automatically: someone who has lived through 10 birthdays has typically seen 2 or 3 leap days, and the day count includes every one.
Zodiac signs and generations
Your western zodiac sign is determined purely by the month and day of your birth — Aries starts the cycle at the March equinox, and the calculator uses the conventional date ranges (boundary dates can shift by a day in some years, so 'cusp' birthdays may see either sign quoted elsewhere). This matches everyday usage: on the day before your birthday you're X years, 11 months, and some days old — never 'almost X+1' rounded up.
Does the calculation handle leap years?
Yes. Total days lived is a true calendar-day count that naturally includes every February 29 you've lived through. For people born on February 29, the years/months/days breakdown uses the real calendar, and the next-birthday countdown targets March 1 in non-leap years, the common legal convention.
How do you determine my zodiac sign?
